SIMI VALLEY – A middle-of-the-evening act of alleged vandalism at a CDB oil retailer in Simi Valley led to a pursuit that ended in Thousand Oaks with the arrest of a former employee early Saturday, authorities mentioned.
Events unfolded about 12:49 a.m. when a caller reported seeing a man with a metal object smashing windows at Chakra Organics at 4210 Los Angeles Ave., according to the Simi Valley Police Division. The shop sells lotions and oils containing cannabidiol, or CBD, a compound of the cannabis plant that does not make folks higher but is ordinarily used for aches and pains.
The caller mentioned the man had been at the place damaging home for additional than 15 minutes, authorities mentioned, and was linked to a gray car.
When officers arrived at the shop, situated in a strip mall east of Tapo Canyon Road, they discovered “substantial harm” to the interior and exterior, the division reported, although the suspect was gone.
