Sunset Sherbet Genetics

This strain hails from San Francisco Bay. It brings the West Coast flavor to the world. Mr. Sherbinski has earned cult status for his iconic creations including the Gelato strain. Sunset Sherbet was accidentally developed after an inexperienced Sherbinski brought a male Pink Panties plant into a grow room full of GSC plants. He left it there for about two weeks. He came back to see powder over the plants. That’s a clear sign of pollination from the male plant.

While the crop was ruined, he was left with thousands of seeds. He used the seeds that developed from the accidental pollination to create the first batch of Sunset Sherbet. He immediately fell in love with its berry, lime, and orange flavors. They reminded him of his childhood and Rainbow Sherbet ice cream. Named after the Sunset district in San Francisco, Sunset Sherbet’s name combines its West Coast roots and its nostalgic effects.

How to Grow Sunset Sherbet

Sunset Sherbet is an easy strain to grow for beginners. Finding quality genetics can be difficult. However, some seed banks sell feminized versions (only) of this strain. No regular seeds are available. Since this plant is resistant to mold and mildew, it requires little maintenance. If you don’t have much experience growing weed, this strain is recommended to help perfect your technique.

It can be grown both indoors and outdoors. If grown outdoors, it thrives in climates with warm nights and hot days. If grown indoors, the plant prefers a greenhouse environment to increase yield and quality. Just make sure the temperature stays between 70º and 85º F. Since it requires heavy feeding to promote vegetative growth, it can be topped, pruned, and trained to manage the heavy growth.
